The Lightsaver battery charge control cable is a highly integrated Li-Ion and Li-Pol linear charge management device. The charger has an integrated power FET and current sensor, reverse blocking protection, high accuracy current and voltage regulation, charge status and charge termination control to prevent overcharging.
The charger charges the battery in three phases: conditioning charging, constant current charging, and constant voltage charging.Battery charging is terminated based on minimum output current going into the battery. An internal charge timer provides a backup safety feature for charge termination. The charger will automatically restart charging the battery if the battery falls below an internal threshold. The battery charger will also enter a sleep mode if the input voltage supply is removed.
